Getting There: Highway 285 is curvy and it is common to have to stop for deer to pass. There are 2 Parkview entrances into our neighborhood but only the 1st one (when driving South) has its own left turning lane into the neighborhood; plan to use this one for a safer entrance. Our home is located off of a maintained dirt road through the neighborhood but does require a short drive up an unpaved, steep driveway. It is highly advised to utilize an AWD or 4WD SUV for high clearance to access the home year round, but especially in snowy months with winter tires (Oct-April). Please plan accordingly with car rentals. Snowfall varies in Colorado. Winter snow is gorgeous but can be hard to drive in, so preparation is key. Our driveway is regularly plowed as needed during the winter months. You’ll want a 4WD or AWD in summer also as lots of the local roads to hiking trails are unpaved and can be rocky.
